ServiceIQ is the Industry Training Organisation (ITO) for the tourism and hospitality sectors, among others, and is proud to support the region’s great people who offer great service, by sponsoring two highly important categories at Taupo’s 2016 Spark Stella Awards – Best Tourism team and Best Hospitality team.
The Spark Stella Awards is a ‘customer experience’ training programme developed and administered by Towncentre Taupo and The Taupo District Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The winners will be announced at a special dinner event on 26 August 2016.
ServiceIQ CEO Dean Minchington, says Taupo is one of New Zealand’s original tourism destinations with a serious future, so who better to acknowledge than the people who make all the difference to visitors.
“We are delighted to sponsor these important awards because outstanding service is what we are all about,” says Dean.
In April, ServiceIQ appointed a dedicated and highly experienced local sector advisor, Andrew Milne, to help Taupo businesses get the benefits of on-job training.
“During 2016, we look forward to increasing awareness of the talented people that ServiceIQ works with in Taupo – from top hotels and restaurants to popular tourism attractions,” says Dean.
“If you’re Taupo-trained on the job in tourism and hospitality, you’re going to be among the best in the world because you’re dealing with visitors from all over the world.”
