Quality Assurance

The Quality Assurance team at ServiceIQ is responsible for maintaining the national standard from the industry point of view – to the benefit of students, providers, and the industry itself.


Our main interactions with Providers are in relation to:

  • Consent to assess

Although this is an NZQA process, it does involve a letter of support from ServiceIQ where we are the standard setting body. The requirements we are interested in are outlined in the Consent and Moderation requirements documents for each sector.

  • Pre-moderation

We do require that all assessments developed by Providers are pre-moderated before use. We do not charge for this service.

  • Post-moderation 

We also require that student samples of completed assessments are submitted for post moderation. Within the next month or two, we will have a new web-based portal available to allow Providers to indicate in advance when they will be assessing, to smooth out the subsequent sampling requests.
