All organisations with Consent to Assess for ServiceIQ unit standards are required to participate in our moderation process. This includes ensuring that all assessment material is pre- and post-moderated.
- Pre-moderation – This involves checking assessment materials before use to ensure they meet the national standard. All providers and schools with Consent to Assess for ServiceIQ unit standards are required by NZQA to have their assessments pre-moderated.
- Post-moderation – Each year we request selected student samples to check assessor marking meets the national standard.
Consent to Assess – what you need to know
Consent to Assess is granted by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) to providers and schools that are intending to assess students’ work against ServiceIQ unit standards. When you apply for Consent to Assess, a letter of support from ServiceIQ is required. Please refer to the Quality Assurance Quick Guide for full details or contact us for further information. We can advise you on the scope of assessment that you will need to apply for. Please contact us for further information.
Secondary school educators, please discuss the full requirements of your application with a Schools Advisor prior to sending it in to us.
