School FAQs/Transition
What is changing?
Nothing. ServiceIQ is simply a Business Division of Te Pūkenga’s Work Based Learning Limited (WBL) subsidiary and it's business as usual for us and you.
We continue to operate with all the same staff, same products and services and same contact details and website, including online Shop. We also have two ServiceIQ Board members involved with Te Pūkenga at the governance level, continuing the long period of collaborative work that has already occurred.
Will this benefit my school and students?
There will be benefits to come. As we settle into our new parent organisation, we’re looking for opportunities that all our customers – including schools and students – can benefit from.
We can access, from across our vocational education network, best practice, knowledge, and talent. This is one of the key reasons for the government’s Reform of Vocational Education.
What do I need to do?
Almost nothing, as there are no changes to the products and services we offer. Please note that our bank account details have changed, as has our legal name (our brand name remains as ServiceIQ). If you need these details please contact us.
What has happened with qualifications development, pre- and post-moderation, Consent to Assess, and programme endorsement?
Responsibility for qualifications development, pre- and post-moderation, Consent to Assess, and programme endorsement moved from ServiceIQ to Ringa Hora – Services Workforce Development Council in October last year.
Ringa Hora is now the vocational education standard setting body for schools, employers, and tertiary education organisations using service sector unit standards. This means that Ringa Hora now develops, reviews, and moderates standards and qualifications, and helps education organisations with Consent to Assess and programme endorsement processes.
