This year sees the return of the ServiceIQ-sponsored Retail Professional Award to Top Shop, celebrating the many rising star people working in retail businesses.

Retail is both a major employer and contributor to the economy, and a cornerstone to success in other sectors, especially tourism. “Both Kiwis and visitors have myriad interactions with our shops and the people who work in them, so skilled people with the right training are vital to business success.”
Last year’s national winner, Liquor King’s Ashley Brunel, says the beauty of on-job training is that you can start the job from scratch, earn as you learn and gain qualifications to develop your career for the future.

The Top Shop Retail Professional Award recognises rising retail stars – people who show sales and service skills that make them stand out from the crowd. It is open to people of any age who have been working in retail for five years or less and have, or are studying towards a recognised Retail qualification.
