It’s a step closer to running the show for 56 McDonald’s graduates who have achieved their National Diploma in Hospitality Operational Management (Level 5). The graduates, from McDonald’s businesses around the country, were recently awarded their nationally recognised qualification at a special awards event in Auckland.
ServiceIQ, ITO for the service industry, has developed the qualification which is linked to McDonald’s training programmes.
ServiceIQ has partnered with McDonald’s on a range of on-job training programmes to help the world-famous business upskill and promote careers for talented staff, and achieve national qualifications along the way. This includes: on-the-job training for school leavers through the popular Oasis programme that McDonald’s offers; intermediate level skills; and advanced knowledge for experienced McDonald’s managers who want to take their career to the next level.
Prior to studying for the high level diploma, the recipients will have achieved a high degree of practical experience acquired over an extended period in a management position with the company. They will also have gained National Certificates in Hospitality with ServiceIQ’s training programmes.
The National Diploma in Hospitality, Operational Management is a significant achievement that the graduates can feel extremely proud of, says ServiceIQ CEO Dean Minchington.
“At ServiceIQ we really like to celebrate people gaining good skills and qualifications that help them build rewarding careers in New Zealand’s growing service industry,” he says.
“It was great to see the pride of the graduates at the McDonald’s graduation ceremony, and it shows that there is more than one pathway to success. You deserve to be congratulated.”
