Domino's Gateway Programme
A great base for a hospitality career!
A career in hospitality or food service can take people places, whether it’s working anywhere in the world or staying put and moving up the career ladder into management or even owning a business.
The Domino’s Hot Hospitality Gateway Programme gives student a sound base to learn valuable new life and hospo skills, as well as 20 Level 3 NCEA credits. They’ll also get the real sauce of hands-on experience in one of the world’s most successful franchise businesses, learning from those who work there and keep it bubbling.
All the toppings
Students on this Gateway Programme work with the team at a local Domino’s store. They get the ingredients for transition to work experience in a real workplace, new skills and industry knowledge. Topping it off are four industry relevant Unit Standards. Students will apply skills and knowledge in: food safety; people interaction; operating procedures; health, safety, and security practices.
How it works
Students will receive a placement with Domino’s and will be fully supported by a dedicated Schools Transitions Advisor who works with store management to make sure they get an all-round understanding of the world of food service and hospitality. Students will be supplied with learning resources, clear development plans and support from the Schools Transitions Advisor who will keep their school up to date. Students’ work will be assessed by ServiceIQ.
