Assessment and Moderation Training Courses
ServiceIQ is accredited to offer various assessment and moderation training courses.
Currently we offer the following courses:
4098: Use standards to assess candidate performance
Assessors play a key role in supporting learners throughout the training and assessment process. To ensure that all learners receive high quality training and are assessed fairly and consistently against national standards, assessors are required to complete 4098 Assessor Training and hold the 4098 unit standard (Use standards to assess candidate performance).
This is a one-week, interactive course where you will engage in assessment activities and gain an understanding of the assessor process and assessment best practice. Courses will be held on the last week of each month.
The course consists of:
- Pre-reading and workbook (provided one week prior and to be completed before online session 1).
- Online session 1 (Tuesday, 10am – 12.30pm).
- Additional reading and workbook (to be completed before online session 2).
- Online session 2 (Thursday, 10am – 12.30pm).
- Final assessments.
Cost: $300 + GST
Unit Standard 11551: Moderate assessment
This programme is for professional adult and tertiary teaching practitioners and teachers teaching unit standard courses. The purpose of the training is to enable teaching practitioners to quality assure assessment materials and assessor decisions. People credited with this unit standard are able to moderate assessment materials and assessor decisions.
This is a three-week, interactive course where you will engage in moderation activities and gain an understanding of the moderation process and assessment best practice. Courses will be held every second month.
The course consists of:
- Pre-reading and workbook (provided one week prior and to be completed before online session 1).
- Online session 1 (2 hours).
- Additional reading and workbook (to be completed before online session 2).
- Online session 2 (2 hours).
- Additional reading and workbook (to be completed before online session 3).
- Online session 3 (2 hours).
- Final assessments.
Cost: $300 + GST
Unit Standard 11552: Design and evaluate assessment materials
