Aviation Gateway Flying Programme (Secondary Schools Equivalency)
Secondary Schools Equivalency arrangements for Private Pilot Licence exam results can be matched against Unit Standards in the Aircraft Operation domain.
ServiceIQ has Unit Standards registered on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework that are based on Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) licensing requirements for the Private Pilot Licence (PPL).

How it works
Students currently holding a PPL issued by CAA, or who have completed Aviation Services Limited (ASPEQ) exams towards the PPL, can apply to ServiceIQ for recognition for the equivalent Unit Standards.
There will be a small charge invoiced to the School for the verification process and associated administration. A Competency Report will be completed and sent back to the school, but ServiceIQ will report the credits to NZQA.
Students (or the School on behalf of the student) will need to provide ServiceIQ with the student’s ASPEQ website log-on and password so ServiceIQ can verify their results. (The student can then change their password again if they wish, once their results have been verified).
For log-book verification, the pages from the log-book must be copied and the name and contact details of the flight examiner provided to ServiceIQ. The student’s NSN number, full name and date of birth are also required.
Disclaimer: All aviation learning is the responsibility of the school and the aero club. ServiceIQ only provide the resources available in the Gateway DIY guide which can include assessment services at the stated costs.
