Gateway Cultural Camps are now $750+GST.

For many years, the costs to run our Cultural Camps have been increasing but we have always tried to hold the price for as long as possible.

We are grateful that a Hospitality Training Trust grant allowed us to keep the 2023 price at $690+GST.

Unfortunately, in the last few years, costs to run the Camps have been going up at a higher rate than ever before.

This has left us with only two options: to increase the price of a place on a Camp; or to cease running the Camps.

The Camps are popular and have excellent outcomes for many students, so our decision is to try and keep them running them for as long as we can, at a price that still delivers value.

New price is effective immediately

Please note: a place on a ServiceIQ Cultural Camp for all new bookings has increased by $60 and is now $750+GST. For schools that have already had bookings accepted by us, we will honour the original price.

With Camps generally being four nights/five days, and $750 covering all costs (food, accommodation, activities, most transport, venue and host koha, supervision and support, learning materials and assessment), we trust that you and your students still find them valuable.

In delivering 20 Level 3 NZQA credits through four vital Tourism Māori industry Unit Standards, as well as an authentic experience, we think Cultural Camps remain both valuable and value.

No changes for other Gateway Programmes

Although there have been some small increases that also impact our other Gateway Programmes, we are keeping the price of these the same for 2024, and for as long as we can. The new price only applies to the Cultural Camps.
