LCQ Bridging Test
The LCQ Bridging Test was an online test for people who completed their LCQ training under the repealed Sale of Liquor Act 1989. It was available from 18 December 2013 until 31 January 2017.
The LCQ Bridging Test updated Manager’s Certificate holder’s required knowledge of the new Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012. It could only be completed by people who had gained their LCQ using NZQA unit standards 16705 version 4 and 4646 version 7 or prior. Holding this LCQ and the LCQ Bridging Test Certificate is one of the prescribed qualifications required to receive a Manager’s Certificate.
The most common prescribed qualification to hold a Manager’s Certificate is an LCQ awarded under the current Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, using unit standards 4646 version 8 and 16705 version 5. Since 2014, all LCQ training has been delivered in reference the current Act. You can find out how to gain an LCQ qualification on our LCQ page.
